	I moved to Western North Carolina in 1986 after instantly falling in love with the scenic beauty and relaxed lifestyle of the Asheville area. I first embarked in real estate development in 1995 with the creation of Water Rock Garden Retreat in the Great Smoky Mountains near Cherokee, North Carolina. The response to the Retreat was overwhelming, and many of its visitors expressed their dream of having their own mountain homes. Together with my husband, I have helped create those dreams with Idylwild, a lush, private development, and now with Big Laurel Mountain, another breathtaking development bordered by two state-stocked trout streams.
